Olympians and other inspiring guests to speak at sport leadership conference

Resilience. Leadership. Breaking barriers.

These are the three thematic pillars of the 2019 Women and Girls in Leadership and Sport Conference at York University in Toronto.

The objective of the conference is to educate, support, and empower women, girls, and allies to advance females in sport and leadership roles.

The conference features speakers and workshop clinicians that will share their lived experiences and critical life skills needed to develop female leaders of tomorrow.

Women and Girls in Leadership and Sport Conference

The conference features keynote presentations from the following accomplished women:

  • Kaillie Humphries: Humphries has won three World Cup titles, two World Championships, and Olympic gold medals in 2010 and 2014 in Bobsleigh. In 2014, she also won the Lou Marsh Award as Canada’s top athlete.
  • Kristine Drakich: Drakich is the former Director and President of the Ontario Volleyball Association and she has been head coach of the University of Toronto women’s volleyball program for 30 years. She was named the Ontario University Coach of the Year 11 times and Canadian University Coach of the Year once in 2015.
  • Sandra Levy: Levy is a two-time Olympic and Pan American Games athlete in Field Hockey. She is currently Vice President, Human Resources with RioCan with over 18 years of experience in legal and human resources roles.
