Ontario Basketball Hires New Special Projects Coordinator

Ontario Basketball (OBA) is excited to announce the addition of Yoram Kerbel as the new Special Projects Coordinator replacing Maria Suriani, who is now filling the role of Coordinator of Coaching Development.

Kerbel will be assisting with Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) communications, coaching administration, overseeing merchandise, facilitating donations, and coordinating events including OBA’s Annual Meeting of Members and Hall of Fame Induction Celebration.

In his previous position with U SPORTS, Kerbel was Coordinator of Social Media where he was responsible for content creation and community management of U SPORTS’ social media channels as well as creating promotional video content. He has previously worked with the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Argonauts, Mississauga Power, and the Orange Bowl Committee.

“I have always had a strong passion for basketball, and I’m excited to take the next step in my career and join the OBA,” said Kerbel. “I’m excited for the opportunity to work with an outstanding team, elevate OSBA communications and bring recognition to the phenomenal work of Ontario Basketball.”

Kerbel began with the organization on September 4. He is accessible by e-mail or phone at 416-477-8075 ext. 208.
