Canada Basketball Announce Womens National Team Assessment Camp Selections

Canada Basketball announced the selections for their U16 and U19 Women’s National Team Assessment Camp, which includes 11 Ontario players and seven Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) athletes.  The selected players will attend assessment camp in Edmonton (U16) and Orangeville (U19) this week.

The objective of the camp is to provide a national training environment with international focus to top identified athletes born or after the specified years.  Players will continue to be evaluated by national team coaches and technical staff for the purposes of identifying those who will be invited to the represent Canada this summer in competition.

OSBA players Brynn Masikewich and Sarah Te-Biasu of Lincoln Prep and Niagara Prep were also chosen to attend camp.

All U19 athletes attending the camp were named to the roster for the first-ever BioSteel All-Canadian Girls Basketball Game on Sunday, March 31 at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport in Toronto.
