Ontario Basketball Welcomes Kayla Davis as Coordinator, Women’s High-Performance

Ontario Basketball is excited to announce the hiring of Kayla Davis as its new Coordinator, Women’s High-Performance. With a rich blend of athletic and business leadership experience, Kayla is set to play a pivotal role in advancing high-performance programs for female athletes across the province, while also managing key administrative duties within the organization. Her background as a former Division 1 athlete at Xavier University and a member of the Canadian National Team, combined with her professional expertise, uniquely positions her for success in this role.

Kayla’s career includes founding UPNXT Training, where she has developed custom training programs for youth and elite athletes, including those in the CEBL, G-League, and WNBA. She has also served as Chief Operating Officer at Elite 1 Recruiting, leading initiatives that boosted engagement and sales, and as Director of Community Outreach at HoopQueens, where she coordinated inclusive youth programs. Kayla will also be involved in managing daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within Ontario Basketball. Her ability to blend athletic development with business acumen and operational management will be key in her new position.

In her role as Coordinator, Women’s High-Performance, Kayla will be handling essential administrative work including, coordinating all aspects of the administrative functions pertaining to the women’s Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA), Development League (D-League), Targeted Athlete Strategy (TAS), and Team Ontario (TO), Centre for Performance (CP), and Ontario Summer Development Program (OSDP), including the management of athlete and coach information.
