Ontario Basketball partners with Mydoh, the money management app for parents and kids

May 15, 2023 – Whitby, ON

Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) is pleased to announce a brand new partnership with Mydoh, the money management app for parents and kids. Mydoh becomes the exclusive money management app partner of Ontario Basketball.

Through this partnership, Ontario Basketball and Mydoh will seek to support youth development through sport and financial literacy.

“OBA is truly excited to get working with Mydoh,” said Dave Stockton, Executive Director of Ontario Basketball. “We’re really pleased to be working with Mydoh and looking forward to bringing financial literacy and money management skills to youth through basketball.”

According to Gloria Kim, Head of Brand Marketing at Mydoh, “We believe that sports provide a great platform for young people to learn important life skills and positive habits such as teamwork, leadership, and perseverance, and we are proud to be able to support OBA in their efforts to promote these values.”

What is Mydoh?

Mydoh is a money management app designed to help their kids learn money management skills while their parents have oversight. It’s simple, safe and secure. Kids can earn their own money through Tasks, spend it wisely using their Smart Cash Card or put their money towards savings goals. From a Mydoh Parent account, parents can view and manage all activity, including set up tasks and allowance, send your kids money instantly, track earning and spending, and more.

Mydoh will also be offering exclusive benefits to OBA members who sign up to Mydoh, as well as access to financial education resources that can help families and young people make informed decisions about managing their money.

Mydoh will be present at all Provincial Championship events for the remainder of the season. Be sure to stop by the interactive Mydoh activation booth if you’re off to 2023 OBA Provincial Championships!

About Mydoh

Since 2019, Mydoh has been committed to helping parents raise money-smart kids. Mydoh began with the shared belief that money management isn’t something you are taught, as much as something you learn through experience – and that experience should start early. Kids learn money basics through play, earn their own money through tasks, and spend it wisely using their Mydoh Smart Card. Parents can see their kids’ spending activity and control how involved they want to be. Mydoh has championed these beliefs since its inception and with it, has been able to help over 80,000 families build a more solid financial foundation for the next generation. Mydoh has also been recognized as an inspiring place to work, being recently ranked 11th overall in the Top 50 Inspiring Workplaces in North America for 2022. Learn more at mydoh.ca.
