Ontario Basketball partners with MilkUP for Team Ontario Athletes’ Journey to Nationals
Whitby, Ontario – Ontario Basketball is excited to announce an extension of the partnership with MilkUP, Dairy Farmers of Ontario’s youth lifestyle brand, which has committed $20,000 to support Team Ontario athletes. This generous contribution will help offset the costs associated with attending the national competition, including registration, uniforms and travel expenses.
Claude Nembhard, CEO at Ontario Basketball expressed gratitude for the partnership: “We are incredibly thankful to MilkUP for their continued support. Their contribution will make a significant difference in easing the financial burden on our athletes and their families, allowing them to focus on their performance and development. This partnership aligns with our shared values of promoting health, fitness, and community engagement.”
Cheryl Smith, CEO at Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) on the impact of the partnership with youth: “We proudly partner with Ontario Basketball to continue helping the organization reach young athletes, who otherwise may not be able to play due to financial barriers. We hope DFO’s contribution through MilkUP, our youth lifestyle brand that was created with youth success in mind while highlighting the benefits of milk in a healthy, active lifestyle, opens more opportunities to these athletes to play and reach their potential. Good luck to all the athletes competing in the upcoming Canada Basketball National Championships and Canada Summer Games.”
The $20,000 sponsorship from MilkUP will cover essential expenses for Team Ontario athletes, including:
- Registration Fees: Ensuring all athletes can compete with limited financial barriers.
- Uniform Costs: Providing high-quality uniforms that promote team unity and pride.
- Travel Expenses: Facilitating safe and comfortable travel to national competitions.
