Ontario Athletes and Coaches Nominated to U16 National Team

Canada Basketball announced today the U16 Girls National Team to compete at the upcoming FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship 2019 from June 16-22 in Aysen, Chile. The team includes four Ontario players

The FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship 2019 will qualify the top-four teams to the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2020.

Canada earned a silver medal at the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship 2017 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  This will be Canada’s sixth appearance since FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship began in 2009, with the country medalling in each of their previous five tournaments.
