Online Survey on Economic Impact of COVID-19 on Clubs

On behalf of Ontario Basketball, and by request through the Minister’s COVID-19 Amateur Sport and Recreation Panel, we are writing to ask for your support by completing an online survey on the economic impacts of COVID-19 on your organization. Data collected will help to better understand the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the amateur sport and recreation sectors in Ontario and will be used to inform the production of a final report to the Hon. Lisa MacLeod, Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries.

The survey can be accessed here, and should take about 45 – 60 minutes to complete.

Due to the nature of the questions, the survey should be completed only once and by a person in your organization in a senior management position who has a deep understanding of your organization’s operations (e.g., Club Executive, Board Member, etc.). This includes responding to financial questions with information on your organization’s operational budget.

All answers submitted will be anonymous, unless identifying information is otherwise disclosed by the respondent. Your organization’s information will be held in confidence by the Panel and the Ministry and will not be disclosed outside of the Panel, and the Ministry, subject to any legal requirement to do so or by an order of a Court or tribunal.

Your organization’s financial information will not be published in the Minister’s final report. If the Panel intends to provide any identifying information as part of the Minister’s final report, organizations will be notified and contacted for permission in advance.

If you could please take the time to complete the survey by Friday, May 15, 2020 it would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions please contact Jason Jansson, Executive Director

Thank you,

Ontario Basketball
