Nothers renewed as Official Partner of OBA Awards

Ontario Basketball is pleased to continue working with our longtime partners at Nothers as the “Official Awards Supplier of Ontario Basketball.”

The new agreement runs through end of the 2024-25 season and elevates the existing partnership with more value and support for OBA clubs and teams.

Nothers has been serving clients for over 50 years, including everything from National and Provincial Championships to local leagues with custom medals, awards, signage, and promotional products.

“Nothers The Award Store is honoured and privileged to continue a long standing partnership with a provincial organization like Ontario Basketball,” said Jim Nother, president. “Our main goal at Nothers is to make a memorable experience for all award recipients, and to provide the gift of time for all event coordinators.”

“We have developed a Team UP program for clubs of all sizes to get the very best value on their awards program, our goal is to upgrade your awards from stock awards to custom awards. We have also created a volunteer recognition program for your stakeholders to be properly acknowledged as we think retention of volunteers is critical for clubs continued sustainability.”

In addition to supplying the medals and trophies for OBA programs and tournaments, Nothers plans to work directly with OBA Club Presidents to fulfil their needs for recognition of achievement with events at the club and house league level. Support for local sport organizations includes the following initiatives:

OBA-Nothers Volunteer Recognition Program

In this upcoming 2021-22 Ontario Basketball season we recognize it will be a challenge for clubs to attract and retain volunteers, so we’re suggesting the implementation of a volunteer recognition program.

Program specifics are up to individual clubs but what we’ve tried to do is give some ideas, samples, template forms, potential budgets, and general guidance on what volunteer recognition could look like for your organization.

We all know how vital it is to have committed volunteers to run basketball programs across Ontario – so now more than ever let’s take the time and show them some love with the OBA-Nothers Volunteer Recognition Program.

Team-Up Program for Multi-Club Orders

OBA is piloting the Team-Up Program in 2021-22 and seeking engaged OBA clubs who want to get together to plan ahead and secure the best possible price on medals and trophies with collaboration on a bulk order.

Interested Clubs can contact Jim Nother and reference the OBA Team-Up Program for rates.
