National Coaches Week 2019 and Contest

“THANKS COACH!”

Want to win your coach a blocking pad from Spalding Training Aids? What better way to say thank you than to nominate them by filling in this form during National Coaches Week, and telling us why your OBA coach should be recognized and they could win a Spalding blocking pad!

September 21-29 is National Coaches Week and we would like to help you say thank you to your coaches across the province.

National Coaches Week celebrates the positive impact coaches have on athletes, participants, and communities across Canada. This week is an opportunity to recognize coaches for the integral role they play by saying #ThanksCoach. With events held across the country to celebrate coaching, National Coaches Week provides coaches with the recognition they deserve for the time they devote to ensuring Canadians live an active, healthy lifestyle.

During National Coaches Week in 2018, 6,847 coaches took free NCCP eLearning courses.  This year, NCCP is offering new clinics and resources to developing coaches.  NCCP clinics are taking place at the Richmond Hill Sports Hall of Fame in Richmond Hill, Ontario and in the Town of Cochrane, Ontario from September 20-22.  Later in the week clinics are being held in Thorold, Ontario from September 21-22 and Ennismore, Ontario in Peterborough from September 27-29.

For those interested in becoming a coach or improving their skills, check out some of the resources we offer including Professional Development opportunities, coach training and the coach development pathway.

We will be recognizing our Team Ontario and ODSP coaches throughout National Coaches Week to stay tuned to @OBABBall on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
