The Grind Session Hits Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre – Nov 8-10, 2024
The Grind Session, North America’s elite high school basketball showcase, is set to make waves in Toronto from November 8-10, 2024, at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. Powered by the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA), this highly anticipated event will bring together top high school teams and future basketball stars for a weekend of intense competition and unforgettable moments.
The Grind Session has established itself as the premier platform for showcasing up-and-coming basketball talent, with many former players now thriving at the collegiate and professional levels, including the NBA. This year’s event promises to be bigger than ever, with top-ranked teams from across North America and a lineup packed with rising stars.
Headlining on the men’s side is Utah Prep’s AJ Dybantsa (6’9 SF, Class of 2025), the nation’s #1 player and projected top pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Along with his teammate JJ Mandaquit (6’1 PG, Class of 2025), a pure point guard who has two USA Basketball gold medals to his name. Prolific Prep also includes ESPN’s # 1 Shooting Guard and Kansas Commit Darryn Peterson (Class of 2025).
Our Canadian Teams will include 2 highly rated U18 National Team members in the Class of 2025 – Point Guard Justus Haseley (Royal Crown School), Forward Tristan Beckford (Fort Erie International Academy (FEIA) and many more talented players.
Headlining on the Women’s side are several high-level Division 1 talented players in the Class of 2025 such as number 39 ranked, recent Illinois Women’s Basketball commit Cearah Parchment (FEIA) and University of Florida commit Nyadieng (Nidi) Yiech (FEIA).
Royal Crown’s team includes 2 recent University of Pittsburgh commits in Divine Tumba Tshibuabua, Jayda Queeley and Phenom Chance Berry (Royal Crown – Class of 2027) will look to build on an impressive start to the season for the Lions.
Toronto is set to become the epicentre of high school basketball, providing fans and scouts an exclusive look at the next generation of talent.

Each bringing skill, intensity, and the drive to claim victory on Canadian soil. Fans can expect fierce rivalries, incredible athleticism, and jaw-dropping plays as these young athletes put their hard work and dedication on display.
