Community conference about supporting Muslim female athletes
Hijabi Ballers present a one-of-a-kind community conference to learn about supporting Muslim female athletes.
Acknowledge. Unite. Act.
The conference theme calls on athletes, coaches, parents, community leaders, educators and change makers of sports organizations to acknowledge their role in the sports scene for Muslim females in Toronto and unite with fellow industry influencers to collectively act on the common goal of increasing sport opportunities for Muslim females in Toronto.
The conference will feature:
- Breakout workshops on a variety of topics, including a history of Muslim female sport participation, how to be an ally, and strengthening mental health and identity through sports;
- Personal experiences of hijab-wearing athletes;
- A panel discussion featuring a diverse set of experts from the field and industry; and
- The first ever public screening of the Hijabi Ballers video featuring over 85 hijab-wearing athletes from around the GTA.
All members of the community are encouraged to attend!

Location: Ontario Science Centre (Toronto)
Cost: $10 (includes lunch, Hijabi Ballers swag, raffle prizes from Nike, and more!)
