Call for Nominations: Ontario Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2018

Ontario Basketball (OBA) is currently accepting nominations for the Ontario Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

The Ontario Basketball Hall of Fame offers an excellent opportunity to congregate with members of the basketball community and celebrate those who have made significant contributions to the development of basketball in Ontario.

Individuals and teams are eligible for election as Honoured Members of the OBA Hall of Fame. Nominees must be residents of Ontario or have been born in Ontario or made their distinguished contribution to the game of basketball in Ontario. Individuals who have achieved an outstanding standard of excellence can be inducted in one of five categories: Athletes, Coaches, Builders, Teams, and Officials.

For a description of the categories and more information about eligibility, read the nomination criteria and fill out a nomination form.

The nomination period for the Class of 2018 closes on Friday, June 15.

In 2016, Patricia Laing (Official) and Susan Stewart (Athlete) were inducted into the OBA Hall of Fame. Laing and Stewart joined a distinguished group of Ontario Basketball Hall of Fame inductees.

All inductees were nominated by their peers and then selected by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee. OBA needs your help to identify worthy candidates for the 2018 Hall of Fame class.
