Ontario Basketball is currently seeking 40 head coaches and 60 assistant coaches from regions across the province to be part of the 2019 Ontario Summer Development Program (OSDP).

About Ontario Summer Development Program

Ontario Summer Development Program provides U12 and U14 athletes with an opportunity to work on their game in the off-season with programming that emphasizes teamwork, leadership and learning. OSDP is a holistic basketball experience that helps athletes develop physically, socially and emotionally.

The program has three stages:

  1. Open Tryouts: Free tryouts in 10 OSDP regions (outlined at the bottom)
  2. Regional Training: 20–30 athletes selected from each region to train for 30 hours as a group; training dates vary by region and are set by the coach

OSDP Regions

These boundaries should be interpreted first by the listed cities and then by the highway boundaries.

Using South Simcoe as an example, an athlete living in Barrie east of Highway 400 would participate in the South Simcoe regional training pod because they live in Barrie rather than in the Central East pod because they live east of Highway 400.
