Basketball Job Opportunity: Youth Basketball Coach, Anchor Sports
Anchor Sports Club, located in Oakville, ON, seeks a passionate individual to lead, organize and develop our youth basketball training sessions, mentor players and promote a positive team environment.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities:
All responsibilities of the successful candidate will include but will not necessarily be limited to:
- Schedule, plan and conduct regular practice sessions during the season
- Provide specific coaching and feedback to each athlete
- Ensure the safety of athletes and coaching staff through careful monitoring of activities, equipment, and facilities utilized by designated sport
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, sound administrative skills and strong motivational abilities
- A commitment to fair play
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours
- Youth basketball coaching experience
- Strong understanding of basketball skills, techniques and strategies
- NCCP certification is an asset but not required
