Call for Applications: 2025-26 Coaches For Team Ontario
The Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) is seeking applications interested head coaches and assistant coaches for various streams of Team Ontario for the 2025-26 season.
All applicants must, at minimum, be certified for the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certification outlined below to be considered for any Team Ontario coaching opportunities. All coaching certifications will be confirmed using Canada Basketball’s Game Plan and The Locker.

All coaches must be available for scheduled tryouts, mini-camps, and training camps, as well as the Canada Basketball Junior Academy and any other High Performance events as requested.
Additionally, all coaches must be available for the 2026 Canada Basketball National Championships (early August 2026 – Exact dates and locations to be confirmed)

Application Process through RAMP
You will need the following to apply:
- Cover Letter & Resume (combined into 1 file)
- NCCP number (please include this on your header in your CL and Resume)
- Don’t have an NCCP number? Create one HERE
- Can’t find your NCCP number? Find it HERE
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC): All officials must hold a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the last three (3) years. Proof of the completed VSC must be submitted to the OBA prior to assignment eligibility.
- Safe Sport Training: All coaches must have completed the Safe Sport Training module developed by the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) within the last two (2) years. Coaches whose certification has expired must renew this training before participating in any officiating duties.
