OBA Countdown to Madness 3! – 4 days until Selection Sunday

Only 4 days away! Introducing Week 3 of OBA’s Countdown to Madness where we feature two Ontario athletes each week that are making an impact in the NCAA, leading up to Selection Sunday.

Let’s introduce this week’s players:

Zach Edey, Junior centre for Purdue, has shown an excellent effort thus far in his NCAA career. In his third year, Edey is averaging 31 minutes of play with an average of 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 assists. The 7’4 athlete will lead Purdue and the rest of the Boilmakers on a hopeful March Madness run. Purdue currently stands in 1st place in the Big Ten Conference.

Shayeann Day-Wilson, Sophomore Guard for Duke, has excelled in her NCAA career thus far. A year after winning ACC Rookie of the Year, Day-Wilson is averaging a solid 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists for the 22-23 season. Going into March Madness, Day-Wilson aims to make her tournament debut with the Blue Devils. Duke currently stands in 3rd place in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
