Ontario Basketball Championships 2019-2020: Dates & Locations

Ontario Basketball (OBA) is pleased to present our schedule and updated format for the 2019 and 2020 Ontario Basketball Championships.

As you will note below, we are tweaking the event formula to ensure long-term stability and strategic growth. Based on feedback from participants and hosts at past events, the increase in teams participating and the need for more quality venues, game officials, volunteers, and space for accommodations has necessitated a change to make the event more manageable for hosts and OBA staff.

As basketball continues to grow throughout the province, we are beginning a new branding initiative that will see the overall culminating event referred to as the Ontario Basketball Championships, with the Provincial Championship and Ontario Cup contained within the competition structure. Teams earning a spot in “Division 1” will compete at the Provincial Championship for that age group, while the remainder of teams will compete in traditional Ontario Cup format.
