BioSteel Women’s Showcase Roster Announced

BioSteel has announced the roster for their first ever All-Canadian Women’s Showcase, set to take place on April 8th from the Athlete Institute Basketball Academy in Mono, Ontario.

The game will take place as part of the Nike Skills Challenge taking place the day before the men’s game on April 9th. This is the first edition of the women’s showcase and BioSteel announced that they plan to make this an annual event coinciding with the men’s game.

There was a large amount of OSBA athletes selected to be part of the event this year to showcase their talents for scouts that will be in attendance.

The representatives from the OSBA include Brynn Masikewich (Calgary), Lauren Rainford (Toronto), Kaillie Hall (Stoney Creek) and Emily Martindale (Ancaster) from the women’s champion Lincoln Prep, Louis-Riel wing player Taylor Featherstone (Ottawa), Durham Elite teammates Keishana Washington (Pickering) and Julia Chadwick (Ottawa), TRC Academy teammates Makayla Ennis (Brampton), Aerial Wilson (Dundas) and Xianna Josephs (Brampton), Bill Crothers teammates Tiya Misir (Markham) and Callie Wright (Markham)I, King’s Christian Collegiate teammates Christina Morra (Mississauga), Lauren Boers (Milton) and Mide Oriyomi (Hamilton), Caledon guard Andrea Dodig (Bolton), Southwest Academy wing Laura Donovan (London), Vaughan Prep guard Teija Wahid-Wareham (Brampton) and Capital Courts guard Isabella Gaudet (Ottawa).

There is also some Ontario representation outside of the OSBA including Frontenac Secondary School forward Aaliyah Edwards (Kingston), St. Joseph guard Paulla Weekes (Scarborough) and St. Mary’s guard Summer Pahl (Kitchener).
