As an annual culmination to the club basketball season, Ontario Basketball organizes and stages the Ontario Basketball Championships, which are open to all member clubs. Teams entered into the Ontario Basketball Championships are made up of community “rep” and club team programs. Ontario Basketball offers a competitive playing environment by hosting competitions in various divisions, with Provincial Championships being the highest level of competition. Each level is offered to male and female athletes in nine age categories from U10 Novice to U19 Junior.
Please be aware that spots in Championships may be limited this year due to uncertainty of gym availability, especially school permits. Ontario Basketball continues to seek out greater access to gym space for member clubs and hopes the issue will be resolved in time for 2022 Championships.
Leading up to Championships, Ontario Basketball will profile each host community on their reason for hosting, what to look forward to, local attractions and more. Accommodation booking links for Ontario Basketball Championships will be made available on December 1, 2021 on our Accommodations page, brought to you by Sport-Travel.
Thank you to our upcoming and past hosts for their tireless efforts to host end-of-season OBA Championships. This is a major commitment of time and resources for hosts and OBA is grateful for their commitment. We look forward to returning to competitive basketball and the 2022 OBA Championships!
