Ten Ontario Athletes Selected to U19 Men’s National Team
Canada Basketball announced the final roster for the U19 Men’s National team that will be competing at the FIBA U19 Men’s Basketball World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. Of the 15 athletes selected to the team, 10 are from Ontario. Ontario is also well represented in the coaching staff, as all of the coaches aside from mentor coach Steve Konchalski (Halifax, NS) are from Ontario.

The final roster is announced following a competitive two-day tryout that was held June 13–14 at the University of Toronto-Mississauga. The team will train in Mississauga until June 20 and then travel to France for an exhibition tournament in preparation for the FIBA U19 World Cup.
The U19 World Cup will take place June 1–9, as Canada will tip-off against Mali on July 1, with games against Japan and Spain to follow as part of their group phase matchups.
