Team Ontario brings home one gold, one bronze from Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games

The Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games were held last week, with Team Ontario’s U18 Men and Women’s basketball teams competing at the Meridian Centre and Niagara College – Welland Campus from August 8 to 13, 2022.

Team Ontario U18 Men remained unbeatable throughout the tournament, bringing home Gold in the final with a win against British Columbia. Team Ontario U18 Women brought home Bronze, after winning against Quebec in the consolation game.

Team Ontario U18 Women’s player Taija Sta Maria (Crestwood Prep, OSBA) was chosen to be the flagbearer for Team Ontario at the Games’ opening ceremony.
