Sixteen Ontario Athletes Invited to U19 Men’s National Team Tryouts
Canada Basketball announced the 22 athletes invited to the U19 Men’s National Team tryouts being held June 13-14 at the University of Toronto-Mississauga. Out of the 22 athletes invited, 16 are from Ontario.
Tryouts will be held to determine the final roster that will be travelling to Cairo, Egypt to compete in the 2017 FIBA U19 Men’s Basketball World Cup. Ontario is also well represented in the coaching staff, as all of the coaches aside from mentor coach Steve Konchalski (Halifax, NS) are from Ontario.

Following the tryouts the team will train in Mississauga until June 20. The team will then travel to France for an exhibition tournament before departing for Cairo, Egypt and the 2017 FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup. The FIBA U19 World Cup will take place from July 1-9.
