Ontario Athletes Well Represented on U16 Men’s National Team Roster
Canada Basketball announced the final roster for the U16 Men’s National Team that will represent the nation at the FIBA U16 Men’s Americas Championship in Formosa, Argentina beginning June 14. Nine of the players are from Ontario, including seven from the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA).
The nine Ontario athletes selected to U16 national team are listed below.

Ontario is also well represented in the coaching staff with three assistant coaches from Ontario: Michael Meeks, Rob Smart, and Patrick Tatham.
The team will continue training in Toronto until June 9. They will then head to Argentina for pre-tournament training prior to tipping off the tournament against the host nation on June 14. The tournament runs from June 14-18.
Canada is currently ranked third in the FIBA Men’s Youth Rankings. The team will look to qualify for its fifth consecutive U17 World Championship.
