Call for Applications: 2024 Coaches For Team Ontario
The Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) is seeking applications interested head coaches and assistant coaches for various streams of Team Ontario for the 2023-24 season.
Assistant Coach Job Description
All applicants must, at minimum, be certified for the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certification outlined below to be considered for any Team Ontario coaching opportunities. All coaching certifications will be confirmed using Canada Basketball’s Game Plan and The Locker. If you are in progress for the certification levels, you must be on target to be fully certified by January 1, 2024.

All coaches must be available for scheduled tryouts, mini-camps, and training camps, as well as the Canada Basketball Junior Academy and any other High Performance events as requested.
Additionally, all coaches must be available for the 2024 Canada Basketball National Championships (early August 2024 – Exact dates and locations to be confirmed)

- NCCP number (please include this on your header in your CL and Resume)
- Don’t have an NCCP number? Create one HERE
- Can’t find your NCCP number? Find it HERE
- Current (within the last 12 months) Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) or Criminal Record Check (CRC) to complete your application. (PDF file)
- Have completed the Safe Sport Course in the Locker (this course is free).
