18 Ontario Athletes Invited to Canada’s Senior Women’s Assessment Camp
On May 26 Canada Basketball’s senior women’s national program began its final push towards qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. The program is holding their 2019 assessment camp in Edmonton from May 26 to June 1. The camp features the 27 top female athletes from Canada including 18 from Ontario. Among the 27 invitees, six players are OSBA Alumnus.
The 17 athletes from Ontario invited to this year’s assessment camp is an improvement over last summer where only 13 Ontario players were invited to the camp.
Following the Senior Women’s National Team Program Assessment Camp, Canada will also hold Phase 1 Training Camp (June 2-9) at the Saville Community Sports Centre. Training camp will be followed by a five-game European exhibition tour in Belgium (June 14-16) and Great Britain (June 18-19).
