MAKING SPORT MORE EQUITABLE FOR FEMALES THROUGH INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP EVENT IN TORONTO

When it comes to making sport more equitable for girls and women, leadership matters. What does inclusive leadership look like in 2017 and how can it translate into real change for women and sport?

Explore the topic of inclusive leadership at the Lunch and Learn event hosted by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS) on Thursday, March 30 in Toronto.

The event will feature a panel discussion with the following guest speakers:

Leanne Nicolle: Founder, Ubuntu Marketing and CAAWS Board Member
Ken Volden: Vice President and Executive Producer, TSN
Tina Debos: Diversity & Inclusion, Strategic Initiatives Manager, BMO Financial Group
Dr. Steven Murphy: Professor and Dean, Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University

Drawing on their lived experiences as leaders in sport, business and non-profit, the panelists will share perspectives on the opportunities and challenges that inclusive leadership presents and strategies for bringing inclusion to life within and through your work.

Attendees will also enjoy a buffet lunch, a chance to network with colleagues, and a special presentation of CAAWS’s 2016 Most Influential Women in Sport & Physical Activity List.

Audience: Men and women with an interest in advancing girls and women in and through sport.
